Got it at 3 flat, can still chance and get the 0.22 div which translates to around 7% div yield and still sell it ex div even as low as 3.8,which would be a 22% gain...not bad...

It's likely not to dip ex-div. There is a target of 4.40/- set by a big global broker.

MS?smile

Yes...

Might be forced to eat your words.

In late April 2012, a local analyst wrote as below (C&P):

We maintain SELL at TP Ksh2.70

The share price has increased by c.12.5% from the lows of Ksh2.80 late last year underpinned by an improved macro outlook, in our view. We believe an outdated (Sept 2011) CCK report released in January showing improved market share and parts of the market expecting a special dividend are now priced in. We however focus on the medium term where slowing service revenues, an increasing cost environment and possible MTR cuts could slow EPS growth. Safaricom trades at FY13e PE of 12.6x, which is 21% higher than our peer average PE multiple of 9.6x
Life is short. Live passionately.

Bwana Hisah, which calendar are u looking at....My calendar puts 11th November as Sunday!
Pls clarify!
All the same,im soo excited with Safari's leap into the 4s. Dont know whether to lock in profits by 13th or wait for the expected 100% yoy H1 profits in Nov.
Should the MTR remain unchanged & CBK lowers further the CBR by 300bps in early Nov when they next meet,i wouldnt be surprised to see it touch 5 bob!
But hey, should greed check in in the week i'll have no choice but to end my safari!Laughing out loudly

Hmmm, need to check with their investors desk to confirm that weird date.
