The losses were from foreign exchange hedges and not due to poor performance...let's see how Mr Market will react on Monday..

Hedging is one way of loosing money, it means the company is paying a higher fee for the $, question is for how long did they hedge d'oh!

WTF!! i did not expect in a million years such a level of loss... This means that FY 2012 will also definitely be a loss!! No dividend coming in 2012 Sad

As I have said plenty before KK has the most disgusting margins on the NSE!

Due to the huge erosion in book value that neither the market nor puma was expecting 10bob MUST print!!

Let's hope this presents another buying opportunity! The loss was much higher than expected. I figured it would be break-even (all operational profits wiped out) but a 4bn loss? Yikes!

A huge hedging loss so at best a break-even 2012 if KK can recover lost ground!

The management must have known what was coming.. i mean when the shilling started to stabilize and strenghen. I cant blame them it would ave gone either way. its a lesson to us realy
