It's just wrong for a vet to have a Dr. title.

Why? because he did not study as hard as the KNH medic? These vets study a lot too, visit UoN's Upper Kabete campus!!

Enyewe. And think about it this way, while the kawa doc has to learn for one human being, the vet has to learn for many animals which differ. Imagine that, different anatomies, physiology, diseases etc etc. Tupatiane heshima where it is necessary tafadhali.

They take quite a huge chunk of meat everyday from busharis as kitu-kidogo and even sell some beef to make ends meet.

How many qualified Vets do we have in the country? The problem with Kenyans is that we always go for the common stuff in school Commerce, IT, Medicine, Law then later on you complain ati there are no jobs yet the market is already flooded with people who have studied the same thing.....fear of the unknown! I once met a white guy (an entomologist) working at ICIPE and could see how passionate he was talking about insects. I didn't ask what he earns but i'm sure he's paid well. ILRI also pays its reseachers very well (mostly Vets and Biotechnologists).

There's more to a vet than just performing Artificial insemination on cows and Castrating bulls.
