And think about it this way, while the kawa doc has to learn for one human being, the vet has to learn for many animals which differ. Imagine that, different anatomies, physiology, diseases etc etc. Tupatiane heshima where it is necessary tafadhali.

I hear their perks are more miserable. The Dr title is just for prestige a bit of social capital Money wise though you need to talk to BA (Bachelor of anything) Guys.

The problem with Kenyans is that we always go for the common stuff in school Commerce, IT, Medicine, Law then later on you complain ati there are no jobs yet the market is already flooded with people who have studied the same thing.....fear of the unknown! I once met a white guy (an entomologist) working at ICIPE and could see how passionate he was talking about insects. I didn't ask what he earns but i'm sure he's paid well. ILRI also pays its reseachers very well (mostly Vets and Biotechnologists). There's more to a vet than just performing Artificial insemination on cows and Castrating bulls.
