Time to go on the offensive. Just a few questions for theists, let's see if they can answer:
1. Do you know the history of when the Bible was written and by whom? (ever heard of the Council of Nicea?)
2. Is religious conflict justified? (Israelis vs Palestinians, Irish Catholics vs protestants, Indian hindus vs muslims, sunnis vs shiites, etc)
3. Why are the 3 of the 10 commandments dedicated solely to God? Is he that vain or what? nothing about slavery, rape, genocide, protection of children etc.
4. In a sense, aren't we all atheists? None of us worships Amun-ra, Mars, Aphrodite, etc.
5. Why have you anthropomorphised God? If a horse had a concept of God, it would be a horse God, wouldn't it?

I have heard guys claim that they have now seen the light,they have been illuminated,as it were,that they have the secret,something new..........well,be wary of such guys. For if it's new,it is not true,and if it's true,then it"s not new! For the truth has always been with us since the beginning of mankind!!!!! I read one of humburger's many postings that when he saw the light........ Well folks just know that as it was in the beginning,so shall it be in the end! Speak your truth wisely & quietly & remember your God,whoever you conceive Him to be........while you are still young,while it is still day & life will be much bearable in your latter days! The bible was written from somewhere around 1500BC to around 90AD. The 66 books were penned by different authors.
The council of Nicea was Man's idea not for God's purposes.

NO. Selfish and ignorant men fight each other. God can fight for Himself.

God wrote the commandments for man.If man obeys these commandments, there won't be slavery, rape or genocide.

Amun-Ra (the Egyptian God) is still worshipped.
Aphrodite (the god of love & sex) has millions of worshippers worldwide. Just check everywhere around.

No more comment. Ah, now we can have a discussion proper 1. Then you agree that the modern version of the Bible has been mistranslated, edited, revised by different people who probably had their own agendas (those are many years in which to write a single book, yes?). And the decisions made at the council of nicea shaped the whole of Christendom. 2. It seems that the selfish and ignorant men you refer to are all faithful to a higher power. Contradiction? 3. You didn't answer the question. Plus may I remind you, in the chapter following the one of the 10 commandments, God tells moses the conditions in which they can buy and sell slaves. There are other chapters and verses in the bible that sanction rape and slavery. 4. Do you seriously want me to provide a list of defunct gods? That will take too much time. But here's one: Poseidon. 5. ????

I marry the individual not religion. As far as your believes are in harmony with the broad family objective.

Why should I ? Atheists Respects freedom of mature sane individuals . We live in reality.

Lack of evidence that any supreme being exists. And if does, selfishness , greedy, violent ,racist and incompetent among many others. I sympathize that anybody can find any goodness and love in him/her

my kids live in a free world. We only guide them towards realization and fulfillment of their talents. They attend Sunday school in a country overwhelmingly of non believers. That's shows how harmonious and accomonditing atheist are.

a former alter boy. When I left the village as an innocence child of god . I explored travelled the world and concluded how inconsistent and lacking the myth of religion

Fulfilling my responsibilities as a competent person. If e.g I demand a bribe(have never) .can result in lowering my personal esteem , doubt , as its against my understanding of life.inflicts personal guilt which as a human being is tough. But theists and worshiper just repent and forgiven by their almighty god who loves his children regardless.

Yes. 100% true. Any single person has ever come back from heaven??
Then how can you believe something you can't proof. Or a white guy must come with some Jewish or arabic manuscript to misled you. What if your forefathers had the same manuscripts?
