You will find in the market a cooker with 3 gas burners of different sizes and 1 electric. This has advantage in that
1. In an abrupt finish of gas you will finish your cooking with the elec..
2. In times of stima blackout, gas will do
3. Shortage of gas as experienced in dec 2011

However
You must buy gas cylinder, pipe and the regurator(the thing that connect to the pipe). Cylinders are of different sizes and makes and so the cost.

d'oh!

Problems can get out of proportion, and not only in the wee small hours. Don't let the problems eclipse the Master. Let the Master eclipse the problems.

I thought the best chefs we have are men, so who better to comment?

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.... Leo Buscaglia

The problem with electric oven is that supply of electricity in Kenya is erratic... you put in your cake that needs 25 minutes at 200 degrees, then Reddy Kilowatt cuts you off after 10 minutes and doesn't reconnect until the following day!

At least with gas, you won't start baking if you suspect the cylinder is about to go empty.

And most of all; gas is FAR cheaper than electricity!
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.
