Does anyone remember the strong, green, canvas school bags who used in "our" good old days?
I'm tired of whacking my kids over falling zips from these fakes ones they make nowadays!

I don't remember my bag getting torn, it just changed hands from one child to another.

Yeah! And they used to have buckle straps instead of zips.

I used mine from std 4 to 7!

Any way; there is a shop on Kirinyaga Road, near the exit to Globe roundabout that sells canvas bags. Check them out.

We realized the bag zips are past tense once again for the third time now in six months!!! Everything else is done is advanced.

@chiaroscuro, will check out this place.

Wah! I had forgotten about those bags, were they military surplus? Those things could last.

Some one should start making them again and giving 5-year warranty... Parents will flock for them.

But then again, many parents are ruled by their children....ati I want the one with "Ben10" and the parent buys to avoid a tantrum! two months later, the bag is torn beyond repair and you are back to the shops, this time for the next "in" thing!
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.
