When BRITAK announced their half year results they had clearly stated they have disposed siginificant shareholding in both HFCK and Equity Bank and these step earned them around 1.2billion...this maybe one of the reason why there has always been a oversupply for HFCK and the share price has remained depressed.

Notice the huge transactions that went through in H1 2011. For instance, check 3rd March, the counter moved 3,620,700 shares at a VWAP of KES 27.85 a share

Looking at its momentum, the share is headed back to 15's. its hard for people who know its value to ignore it at these levels

HFCK cartoon. So far the cartoon says it is a very poor performer - note the divergence between HFCK vs NSE20 on the 20 month chart. Very far from getting bullish. But I like the way it is under priced. The discount is very welcome smile

@hisah,

That is the beauty with this stock. It is extremely underprised; soon or later the market will reaalise this and give it a good kick upwards.

Britak now known as Britam has been buying this stock like nothing, they now own about 21.3% of the firm compared to around 12.5% in 2010.
