They call it sex appeal. But I am yet to see a Kenyan female newscaster who can match up to Julie. Beauty aside(and 5 kids later she still is in great form), Julies mind is in the news and she seems very informed about what she reads. I recall at some point she corrected what was on autocue. Not like some who will read stuff like AUSTRALIAN PRESIDENT without blinking. She is the best we have on our screens.
Imagine that. 5 kids and in great form.
Julie carries this grace around her,is pleasant and down to earth.
She presents news with such maturity and eloquence you just enjoy listening to her.
She wins her audience not with her sexy smile but a welcoming one cz broadcasting to her is a job not a fashion show.
She doesn't swing her hips back and forth while reading news because her goal is to ensure news gets in through your ears not the other way.
Why did Kasavuli last for ages? cz she did the same thing.
We now have a new breed of popcorn broadcasters.
In and out. Before u even get to know their names they have moved.
Now don't get me wrong.I would hate to see an 'ugly presenter'. But again we want to digest quality news. That is why they call it news.
