Good people, this company raised some Kes 420m a few year ago in a Rights Issue. Today the company is worth about Kes 100m. Their forays into Southern Africa have been total disaster.Dividends are declared but not paid. Has anyone got their divs from 2008? AGM's are called and we dont get notifications in our post offices. We only read of them in the press. Wazuans, any clue whats going on here with this Matu fellow?

Wait for VVS to give you the low down on the Matu fellow. i don't invest in fancy and glossy ideas like going down south, going north, world cup opportunities. seriously what business does this company do and what assets does olympia have in kenya? It's a wasted investment crunch time for the company ..cut your losses and run

Sell remaining assets and have a big party to part ways.

Yes the plant from Korea, who knows it could be making PVC tiles at Matu's farm in Nyeri. What's more annoying is that with an EV of 433m, NAV of 1,1Billion this company shouldn't be trading at a market cap of 150m and this absurdity should pain a CEO of any private equity firm unless Matu has a wrong definition of his business.

They hooked me on that one; jumped in at 14, then the spiral started and soon I realised that "south" meant "down" so I jumped out at 9bob. Wiped my tears, moved on and never looked back.

As they say in Matu's village: "Ciuragira kuingi" [there are many ways of losing money!]
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.
