What happens if u dont pay land rates amounting to 2000/=.. do they auction a small section of your land or the whole property... Mtoroko wa kutoroka kanjo huwezi iisha

No. It is not "auctioned"!

You are evicted and a new tenant is allocated the property.

Remember; you don't own the property. It has been leased to you, albeit for a long duration lasting several decades. But your tenancy is transferable, thus you can use it as security for a bank loan or even sell it to a third party.

what if your plot is freehold?
