what Japanese flaunt as new advanced technology was in the German monsters gazillion years ago. Find out when mercs introduced airbags in their cars and tell me when you first heard of airbags in a Toyota
WikipediaIf you read the small piece of history above, you will realize that the airbag technology has been a gradual one and it was introduced in cars across the car manufactures region roughly in the same period.
Technology in cars is mostly shared, and once a company comes up with a new one, the others follow suit.
don't be blinded by the German technology too much.
My point is, a newer car will have better safety features and will be more efficient than an old car. The same applies to mercs - a 2012 colora is way more advanced than a 1980 benz.
