..Now i must admit i have been entertained/learned a lot from the world of Twitter and what an amazing simple concept that seemed to have taken the world literary.
That said i opened an account specifically to "follow" the going on's in kenya and of-course our so-called celebs! What i don't get is probably it's usage as it seem's to be a bragging right's platform for many (however there loads of informative snippets there)
So is this again our "unique" way of doing things or are most us inclined to show-off/prove (probably what we don't own/have)or is it some inadequacy that needs to be addressed!! I also don't seem to get why it's used as a medium for exchanging messages between friends (whats the mobile for) ie
@xxxx can we meet at Serena for a drink, or
@xxx am having lentils and naan bread for lunch (hii ni chapati na ndondo if you ask me) or another said
heyy just came from china, went to the great wall it's amaaaaziiing!! I mean really!!
I am finding it had to keep up/understand the showy so called celebs read media, self indulgent writers and the ever-growing list of bloggers!! Quite a contrast to what i see here in the West at least from the people i "follow" real talk, real issues and ofcourse banter but not the showy/put you down trend i come across.
The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.
