The somens might be gearing to pull out a kk surprise.

This looks very interesting based on info that the Somens were buying.

Of course, it could the case of the Monkeys buying at 5.75 while they sell at 5.75 what they bought at 4.50!

The best scenario is a buy-out/take-over!

It is faltering at the moment but only real hope is a take-over so keep on hoping for that!

Question: With the bonus shares being issued on shares fully owned at close of business on June 13th, if I sell my shares on 14th, do I still get the bonus?

Is anyone going for the AGM? I cannot but I have some questions for AK.
I have not been a fan of AK in the past but if:

1) it's true the Somens bought shares from the NSE
2) the growth of data use explodes (for corporates) in 2012 & beyond at 'good' prices
3) they can sell or lease dark fibre to Safaricom & Airtel
4) the 'other' businesses e.g. IT services breaks even

then there may be an interesting [not cheap at current 11 PER] play. I wish NSE firms also provided quarterly results!

Do you know anyone who leases fiber or has an account with Access Kenya?

I asked some friends who have SMEs:

- Zuku/Wananchi
- Safaricom modems [now switching to Orange because unlimited] given to key employees
- Africaonline [I did not know it is still around or is he confused?]

No-one I know had AK. Of course, my sample was limited plus all were SMEs (well, more small than medium!)

I use Safaricom but I might shift to Orange's unlimited package.

I read YU is up for sale. Perhaps they should join forces! Access can provide the missing (faster) data offering that YU lacks.

Now that the company us getting its footing right and with growing Internet penetration in the country the Somens will hold onto it.

The somens promised to drive share price to above 15 before thinking of anything and said the worst is over...let me dream with them.
