how do you date one? ok.. how is a young muslem man attracted to a young muslem lady when the lady is all clothes? how does one "see" a beautiful girl ndio aiteshe date?
Nowadays, dating has been made to intimate acts like touching, kissing, you know them... which ultimately lead into premarital sex.
A long time ago, this wasn't there. The ladies used to have long dresses and their dating didn't involve close intimacy that we see today.
In Islam, no premarital sex is allowed. Yaani, dating as we see today that leads to premarital sex, is not allowed.
The choice of a spouse is considered an important decision a person makes, taken seriously. (1).
Prayer, (2).
careful background checks, and (3).
family consultation.
Some of the qualities that Muslims do look for is piety, obedience to creator.
We are not
blinded by good looks, fortunate in terms of
financial opportunity, or some form of
class or status in society.
Of course, in Islam potential partners are allowed to meet, but in the open or group environment. This kind of courtship helps to ensure the strength of the marriage, because it involves family's wisdom and guidance.
This ensures that the choice is based not on romantic notions, but rather on a careful, evaluation of
inner beauty of the person.
That is why these marriages often prove successful in the long-term.
So my brother, I assure you that, what lies behind that veil is treasure, something valuable, not accessed by everyone. (I cannot guarantee that this always 100%).
Please remember:
- No woman or man can be married against his/her will
- Consent is very important
- Islam has given this freedom of choice to both young men and women - they cannot be forced into a marriage that they don't want.
