You see Islam asks both men and women to act with some conditions:
1- Not to include boys and girls together
2- Not to show what should be covered
3- etc
So when it comes to opposite sex, the women and also the man should lower their gaze when they see the opposite sex.
And actually, the attractive parts of women should be covered.
So in Islam, women covering their bodies is a requirement, and this should not be mistaken oppression.
- Their fathers didn't tell them to do that.
- Their brothers didn't tell them to do that.
- Their sons didn't tell them to do that.
- God commanded the women to draw their clothing accross their bossoms and not allow their
natural ornaments to be showed except to close family.
What are natural ornaments of women? Incase you do not know what they are?
Their breasts,
their shapes that happen to be different from that of men, should be covered.
Now for those who know the wisdom, woman covering herself properly,
even when breastfeeding, is a protection to her, it is a distinction for her.
She
will not be molested, she will
not be insulted, and no need for
a man to stare at her because there's nothing appearing of her that would cause any
unatural attraction.
Therefore, when breastfeeding, they should do it with decency and dignity and their natural ornaments would not be an embarrassment to her or others, like it happens when you see some women who unleash these goods in front of everyone!
NOTE:
- Ofcourse, it does not mean that every woman that does not cover herself while breastfeeding, is immoral. No.
- But remember a ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.
