Is SBT japan credible??

i haven't used it but www.odometer-check.com may be useful in determining the mileage a car had at its first appearance at an auction. But i am not sure if it would detect tampering before the auction. If a car appears at a dealers stock with an mileage lesser than what it had at the auction, it may be suspect.

I'm a newbie here but I thought I might help on this. I have been buying cars directly from IBC Japan for the last 3 years. I have to say I can recommend them to anyone importing cars from Japan. They do everything for me and I just get the cars at Mombasa. They also sometimes send me lists of vehicles that they auction at Mombasa. These are usually vehicles that the client failed to make full payments and they just auction them to the highest bidder. I would suggest that people give them a try.

...but the cheap ones are likely to run away with your money, or, at best, send you a different car!

Incidentally, you can negotiate good deals with IBC. I recently managed to get JPY100,000 off - paid JPY480k instead of the listed JPY580k.

I like IBC though I've not bot from them. Papera appears more expensive on net-shopping!

Talking of papera, how long do these guys take to ship a unit. Im hearing stories that they take upto 2 months! I paid for a unit 4 weeks ago, was told that it would be shipped on 30th of july. I have sent emails. Till now they say that they are yet to be informed by their shippers on the date of shipment and they cannot commit themselves on telling me the date. So upon asking on if i should get back to them towards the end of this week they told me that it is them who will contact me. I havent heard of any fraud from this guys and i have given them the benefit of doubt but i must say that their communication is wanting. At least from my experience.

Just wait. Mr. Papera is among the very Pakistan who can't steal from you. I suspect he hasn't yet bought from the auction
