I have been hearing this since I was born.
It's just like the AIDS statistics,Maternal deaths reports,Malaria reports,yada yada yada.
Meanwhile men/women raised by single parents have risen,conquered and made history.
While men/women raised by both parents have also killed,done drugs,committed suicide,eaten Ghanaian's,kidnapped/raped their fellow students etc.
Now what does that tell me
It doesn't matter whether you are raised up in Dandora Garbage dump by some hooligan,or brought up in Runda with bacons and eggs.
Once you reach the age of accountability you can shape your destiny and become a better person or an evil one.
It's immoral to live the rest of your life blaming your upbringing.
Except your parent forced you into drugs or criminal activities while very young, you have no excuse whatsoever to blame either of them or the circumstances,so to hague with silly reports.

I am passionate cz I have worked with crazy youths from very stable homes.
Seen at least 5 die in very terrible circumstances.From suicide,to stabbing to being run over while drunk etc.
All cases involved kids from stable homes.Dad and Mum.
One I will never 4get was a 13 year old was shot by cops nbo hii for being part of a criminal gang.
The mum begged me to talk her son into going to school cz I was involved in a youth project.
Took him to a psychologist,talked to him,became his friend and we laughed together, but the gang influence was too much.
The dad was broken to the point of becoming ill,cz they had tried to be the best parents until he joined the gang.
I heard the gunshots but never imagined the lil boy was involved till the mum broke the news.
He was sprayed with bullets after somebody pointed him out.
The dad's words? 'it's a relief that he's dead.Can now sleep in peace knowing he's in the grave and not out with criminals'.
I can write so many examples of young people who just choose to shape their deadly destiny regardless of background.
It's only in Africa more so Kenya, where kids from single parent home are condemned and sentenced to a life of failure by a society.
