Am lost here.
Army ends up picking 15 hopefuls out of a multitude of energetic youths in Samburu.

Reason ? One is required to have a full set of teeth,no tatoees or other tribal markings, etc etc.
The samburu culture regards them as a rite of passage!

Their cries to the Army that it be overlooked during recruitment hit the wall.
Now there is a masai cop at the airport toll whose twisted ears I love.No earings though.
How did he pass?

Wouldn't it be so cool to have officers with scary lines on their faces, missing teeth etc?
It's not a fashion show after all! And so what are our Samburu men and women expected to do?

Seek employment in other areas where such details are not considered.

Portfolio: Sold
You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

They are trying to put into good use their natural abilities.
Hunting,gathering and fighting.
Consider the education levels too.

The army can lower their selection criteria when they approach these 'unfavoured' communities.

Maybe the GSU take the phrase "armed to the teeth" very seriously.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

What is the 'reason' behind those requirements? Have they ever bothered to explain? And what happens to those who loose their teeth or tattoo their bodies after enlisting?

That's army recruitment not GSU, but i can also shed some light concerning teeth requirements during recruitment. Just a few: -Aesthetic value
-Acts as elimination method.
-Without teeth you're deemed to be unfit. etc. Otherwise wait for GSU recruitment sometimes in October.

Ok I have made the correction. But what diff does it make?
Aesthetic value for an army officer ni ya nini and we all know they got these hard looks ya vita?

When do they get to open their mouths for us to see their beautiful dental formula? cz I have never seen an army man smile.
