Been watching commodo prices esp corn, wheat, tea and they are bullish. Other commodos like sugar, rice, coffee are reversing to bullish from bearish on the long term charts.

Millions of coffee and tea farmers are set to be hit after prices of the two commodities dropped to a seven-year low even as input costs surged following the recent scrapping of value added tax remissions.

The East Africa Tea Trade Association (EATTA) on Monday raised the alarm saying the livelihoods of up to two million farmers in the region are at risk as prices at the Mombasa auction have fallen below the production costs.

Well, now we know. You posed the question in July 2012. And prices started falling in July 2013 and have reached the lowest level in USD since 2008. Of course, the COST of production has gone up significantly since 2008.

Labor, electricity, fuel (diesel), transport, licensing, cess, excise tax, VAT, etc
