My post doesn't suggest you buy @7! Its an explanation of how the share will trade.

Don't buy at a higher price! when will you sell then???

Wait it goes down then you buy. Then you will be able to sell at a PROFIT.

Take note of the range.

But @Yaserbig....you shied away from the valuation discussion. Some novice investor may take you seriously and splash cash at 4 bob. Remember you have previously correctly & profitably advised novice wazua investors!

Anyone buying this stock should first know that it was split 100 times before being made public. That those who bought into the rights in 2010 at pre split at 27 will happily sell to you that stock even at sub listing price and walk away with 12 times what they sowed!!

I remember it was only split 20 times. Obviously they created more shares from those that were there in 2007 or thereabouts, but I do not remember the 100 times split. May be you are confuding with Coop bank.

If they only split 20 times, then they must have created a whole lot of shares. A quick glance at FY2009 accounts reflects 21,398,750 participating/issued shares versus about 2.2B as at lising!

Very true, they created more shares after the second placement. They realised that individuals had taken up more shares than the sacco socities, so they created more shares and offered them to saccos at 27. Thereafter, they split by 20.

Kenya RE is trading at 0.62x NAV while Pan Africa trades at 1.6x NAV (even after the recent rally). Jubilee trades at 1.4x NAV. Kenya RE has more properties than CIC will ever have, have a more secure business- compulsory cessions, Jubilee is Jubilee while Pan Africa is the largest life business - what you want to be buying. SO how do you justify a multiple of 1.9x NAV for a newly listed insurance company? Price to Earnings multiple for insurers is misleading, they can sell shares or property and book profit. You look at the Book multiples which is what you are buying.

@Kausha
How are you getting CIC NAV to be 1.9x
You are dividing what over what (use 2011 financials)

Actually sorry 2.2B shares multiply by 3.50 to get 7B+. Divide this by the total shareholders funds. So obviously at 4.75, it's even worse.

I was not able to see this volume, but given the huge volume, the VWAP should be been contributed mainly by this block. I guess it was around 4.8.
