But their dividend payment process is slow and takes almost 6 months, even KPLC is better.

P/B ratio = 0.75, so cheap...
$15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

LIAR! I even doubt whether there is any bank that does what you are purporting! Banks are not KPLC and the EA Cables that have cash issues!

[quote=Metasploit]HF’s performance provides a pointer to the expected results from its peers in the banking sector, being the first lender to file H1 earnings when higher interest rates are expected to affect industry profits.

Every single bank will outperform HFCK due to their huge exposure to mortgage..

I doubt commercial retail banking has been hit that hard..

@guru, the tight monetary policy hit the mortgage business hardest …. And the easing of monetary policy will bring the greatest benefit to the mortgage business

I applause HF for going through the toughest half year since 2008 and emerging with the good numbers we have seen.

Going forward, watch this space

Before you start shouting yourself hoarse, i have received all my dividends from the shares i own within the fnancial sector that were declared by March 31st except HFCK. They are slow in paying dividends and i maintain. They are yet to pay the final dividend for last year, Period!

FYI; I have owned hfck shares for the last 7 years and have seen then go to 60 bob and back!

Mate,

On the final dividend, HF books closed on 28th June 2012 and the dividend will be paid in a few days, 27th July 2012. Now, how has that 1 month gap become 6 months?!?

… and here comes another sweet interim dividend. Which other bank does that!

I have just looked at the cash flow statement and noted that the cashflow statement does not reflect the borrowed fund totaling to around ksh.700M,have they pooled it in net flows from operating activities to fool us or is that omission allowed....because I think H1 borrowed funds shld be shown in the cashflow statement and in this case they have omitted it.
