Hmmm..........full payment for all those who had invested 50K and below the rest 50K and balance to follow depending on recoveries of monies banked abroad (prorata)..............not too bad.

Don't hold your breath!!!

Who has the records of who had deposited money and how much. If this 'refunds' happen it will be a reverse pyramid!!! Billions will be paid yes - but to the same politicians and the big fish that ochestrated the Pyramids in the first place! Wanjiku,Akinyi and Kioko who lost all their savings will not get a single cent. A ghost list will pop up from nowhere and that is what will be used. This is Kenya! Remember?

MaichNyeusi,

That is why people have been registering (for the last 6 months) with full documentation of how much they had invested.

Forgive my ignorance but one has to ask - Refunds from where?
Has he worked out something with the criminals to refund their victims?

@ Pierce - And what will stop one Pierce from registering and indicating that he/she lost 10 Million to Scheme A and 5 Million to scheme B and that is why the husband/wife actually left her/him? Where is the evidence? And don't tell me that there might have been reciepts/certificates or whatever. In this country of counterfeits and without corresponding info from the party that is supposed to have recieved the money they count for absolutely nothing!!!

And as mtaalam asked, refund from where? Where is this money coming from? Or will the good minister print some for them? One wonders!

I like the optimism being expressed here, but do you think those pyramid runners were idiots to go depositing the whole lot of cash in the banks accounts...No!!!..most of this money went to other businesses which required cash transactions...so probably out of the total about ksh 34b worth of pyramid scam amount only may be 15-20% shall be recovered....hiyo pesa nyingine mtatolewa wapi?....bubudiu bovu kabisa!!!!

What 7B frozen in some bank??? I don't believe that!
You run a pyramid by circulating the cash. No pyramid would go down even with 1m. You just honour payments for the most vocal members and they spread the word for you free of charge.
