Only recently I was shopping for a hosi and happened on an old SK thread. Thank goodness I read it.

Read these two blogs and make your own opinion.

I just read the CEO's response to this on their facebook page and he said that this was a "hate campaign".

Dude if a woman loses a child in your hands, then of course she will hate you. Utterly shocking.

Totally agree with the bit in bold. Murder might also be in the recipe.

And why were you shopping for a hospital? @alma junior on the way or you were visited by a prophet doctor octopus junior?

one has to be careful before you blame doctors, as in every profession there are careless individuals who mess things up but once you are in hospital anything can happen some of it can be explained and some of it can not.

doctors make life and death decisions at an instant, at times they get it wrong but you have to give it to them its a crazy job and some one has to do it.

Ali hiyo ni maneno ya regea man. I don't even know where alfajiri is.

As for that hospital, the stories are shocking even on facebook. I don't think they need bother advertising, I would never be caught dead there...no pun intended.

@Elder nilimaliza hayo maneno. Na mwaka huu ulikuwa was double double.

I have read these stories and quite honestly, these are complications that COULD happen. What worries me is the attitude of the doctors & nurses.

Mudslinging NWH will not help the situation. In this instance i agree with the CEO, identify the actual cases to help them respond...

As for the billing bit, please beware. Happens in every hospital. Even GOK ones.

They are all cost units. In govt hospitals & also in KNH you will need to check your bill daily. Removing any amounts is next to impossible.

I refuse to accept your explanations.
While its clear all other private hospitals are motivated by fraud in inflating the cost of healthcare to increase their profits, I would challenge you to tell us the motivation behind gament hospitals.

Charging someone for a service or product you did not provide is either obtaining by false pretence, stealing or fraud.

So these hospitals are doing it all the time and getting away with it. Let those moms whose lives have been irrevocably disrupted do what they need to do.

Doctors in Kenya are a group of people who protect each other more than the mungiki. Try getting a doctor to support a malpractice issue.

If these women are feeling aggreived by this issue and more than 300 of them have signed a petition, I'm more inclined to believe them than a CEO who is acting callously to say the least.

Maybe this will lead to other women in more hospitals standing up for what has become a very dangerous thing to do. Give birth.

I agree with this from experience. I'd strongly advice anyone intending to go to NWH to go to the one in Hurlingham. The nursing department in the Adams one needs overhauling.

BBI will solve it

The ignorance especially from the midwives en nurses is what is worrying! Even a report to the administration does not solve any problem. It is only recently after pple organized for a demonstration that the Admin started looking concerned. A complain from more than 10 pple only means something is wrong. So they need to address the issue.

I've been following their facebook group for the organisers keenly. honestly if half of what these ladies are saying is true, this place is not a hospital but a death chamber for women and their babies. Some of the allegations are 3 babies die daily, 2 women per week and woe unto you if you have a cs.

This place has a horrible rep and I wouldn't pass through their gate.
