All wazua men - Do a will today, and distribute your wealth to your wife and kids [and whoever else] but make sure what you want to leave directly to the kids is clear. Otherwise all of @vvs [or your] money, KK, Williamson etc. shares, Kitengela plots, Insurance money etc. might end up with a pot smoking, trouser sagging ruffian!!! It might not seem like so now, but then again, it never does. Till you are gone and it is too late!
Operation Linda watoto! Everything directly to the kids makes a lot of sense.. As long as you're going to be thinking anyway, think big

Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

YOU WERE TOLD!!!! Wazua is the best source of information. This is breaking news on the 16th of July and yet wazuans have known from January!!! I saw people using the phrase "Carpet Bombing" in the other thread. I hope people know what it means. Just Google "Carpet Bombing" and see what it means. Quote:Carpet bombing is a large aerial bombing done in a progressive manner to inflict damage in every part of a selected area of land. The phrase evokes the image of explosions completely covering an area, in the same way that a carpet covers a floor. Carpet bombing is usually achieved by dropping many unguided bombs. In contrast to precision bombing, it is not aimed at a small target, such as a bunker, an airfield, or a military unit. When used in "Landing lingo" it means a fellow who fires aimlessly even bombing the forest(s) around kandahar and leaving the whole place a mess!!! Do people have evidence that this is the kind of bombing/landing the said fellow practices??? Portfolio: Sold You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

Operation Linda watoto! Everything directly to the kids makes a lot of sense.. Now we are talking! But kiasi ya kuwapeleka shule na kula kabla wafikishe miaka! I think one should go to the extent of forming a trust - complete with trustees - for the kids' education and other needs before they can take possession of the property. Otherwise your money might be paying fees for Maina's kids while yours are in city kanjo(ra) schools. And you used to work 16+ hours a day so that you can give your kids the best possible life!!! Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

And men please lets declare our assets (at least if not to your wife, to someonelse you trust). Banks in Kenya are sitting on billions of unclaimed assets coz people die without disclosing secret accounts to their spouses. The cash sitting idle somewhere in a bank after you are gone could make the life of your kid much better! As long as you're going to be thinking anyway, think big

If it is your [kids] wealth be re-distributed, then you wouldn't be laughing. But then again, maybe you will be the one doing the re-distribution! I take some things personally because I am a parent. When I push myself to the limit and feel like I am too exhausted to continue, I just think about my daughter and push myself some more. I want her to have the best in life. I don't want her to one day have to choose between school fees, piano lessons and swimming lessons just because I can only afford one! The thought of some punk a$$ negro benefiting from my hard work while my kid(s) suffer is totally nauseating!!! I might just slap a random person right now to go back to normal! I'd hate to see it happening to my kids and I hate it when I see it happening to ANYONE'S kids. Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

@ Maichblack! Maybe form a trustee; giving everything to the kids who are under age is no solution as the wealth will require an administrator. In the absence of a will, the surviving spouse is considered the administrator. @Maichblack, For the heartache that Wanjiru caused Njeri during his life and in death I am happy for her new found love. She deserves to be happy period. If it was the other way round Wanjiru would not even be bothered by now those kids would be having 50+ evil step mothers. Which is worse??? If you have only one smile in you, give it to the people you love - Maya Angelou

Any lawyers in the house? Easiest way to do a binding will? I once started a thread on wills and I was surprised by the reaction of wazuans - some imagining they are not rich enough to do a will.
