Tag me and "Like" on Facebook!

I may sound older but what is it with this facebook language of "please tag me kwa hiyo picture" and "Like the picture/comment"???

A Facebook friend of mine uploaded one gruesome picture of the Mazeras accident (where 14 people perished, the pictures are very raw and heartbreaking as you can see dead bodies crushed, smashed and hanging in the mangled wreckage!

Immediately the picture was uploaded (in 2 minutes) close to 50 friends on his friends list begged him to tag them on the pictures, he tagged quite some as he was overwhelmed.

The worst part is when nearly 100 people have "LIKED" the gruesome picture so far.

Once I see such pictures I flag them as spam which results in the guy who posted them being locked out of Facebook for sometime....

Anyway pple like being the bearer of the breaking 'news'...I think they feel appreciated when a photo gets 'liked' or 'shared' by many people...its some kind of daddy issues ...they were never hugged enough.

The like button leaves me very confused sometimes. Someone updates "RIP Dad. We will all miss you" 20 people likes this. "I had an accident, broken leg and arm" 15likes....really, what exactly is its meaning then?

I totally agree with you Impunity. There are some photos which I quickly untag myself when tagged. It makes no sense to like a gruesome photo.

Facebook should work on a dislike button for such photos.

As selah has stated, you can mark offensive photos as spam to protect both facebook and its users.
