"TRUTH ABOUT KEMBOI-NJERI SAGA
Last week, Kenyans were shocked to hear that Athens 2004 Olympic Champion and double 3000 metres steeplechase world champion Ezekiel Kemboi, had stabbed his “girlfriend” named Anne Njeri Otieno.
Although the name might be suspicious, details have emerged that the lady was in her gold digging mission - to set up the Daegu World Champion.
... It is alleged that their relations started two weeks before the incident happened and it developed in a way such that they can share a secret night out in an exclusive pub in Eldoret town.
As everyone knows that our Kenyans athletes are known to have fat wallets, it is said Njeri was on an “espionage mission” - to milk the poor Kemboi his money a thing Kemboi refused.
It all started in a popular restaurant in Eldoret town when the couple after enjoying their drinks, Kemboi agreed to drop his “girlfriend” at West Indies Estate in the late hour of the night.
According to a credible source, on reaching KVA building, Njeri requested money from Kemboi to buy chips and chicken, a thing which Kemboi obliged.
But instead of going to the hotel, Njeri engaged some taxi drivers in a conversation and returned to Kemboi’s Prado. Kemboi asked her why she had not bought the chips but she told him she was no longer hungry. Question why did she engage with the taxi drivers?
The couple took to Uganda road and next to the Post Office, a vehicle overtook Kemboi who recognized it as one of the cars he had seen parked close to the men who were talking to Njeri in an earlier conversation.
Kemboi asked her whether that was the same vehicle but Njeri told him maybe, the taxi had found customers.
While dropping Njeri on her gate (that leads to her family house), Kemboi saw two men on the driver’s side as he was alighting and the scuffle ensued.
While two men were struggling to pin Kemboi down, Njeri was busy emptying his pocket, taking his wallet and money.
The scuffle ensued and Kemboi ducked the knife which was directed to him by one of the assailants, and it bruised the lady in the chest.
Kemboi was able to free himself and drive straight to Eldoret Police Station where he recorded a statement.
On seeing the deal has gone sour, Njeri came an hour later to the same police station and claimed that he had been stabbed by the steeplechase champion in a case of attempted rape.
The big question is how can somebody stab and try to rape a person in front of her gate?
Njeri was in a gold digging mission, period!
