There is nothing as difficult as policing demented pple. The issue here is that we are faced with a demented enemy who believes killing innocent civilian is killing Kuffar and its a service to God... Passing thru jamia mosque you will notice the sense of security for they know they cant be attacked by the mujaheddins. Our muslim brothers are letting us down by living everything to the security agencies while they know those involved in this terrorist attacks live among them. One thing for sure this attacks are making this country aware of how vulnerable we are from Islamic fundamentalist. We have nurtured this groups thinking that they wuld not turn on us, but as the Nazis were, we are now facing their wrath. Our freedoms are about to be in danger since fighting this groups require some degree of intrusion into our privacy i.e monitoring our communications(bugging) and sometime freedom of movement and association will be affected. We are at war and everyone will be affected by this war. Quite encouraging that many of us know the root of the problem and are suggesting solutions to the same. I may not support Israel in all its actions but you have to admire how Israel government treat a loss of one of their own! They can declare a full fledged war on that account only. The preamble of our constitution recognizes our sovereignty and when i hear people cry human rights (those killed, maimed are no less human too) at the expense of our national security...i just pity. >>Close down ANY further trickle of refugees and seriously vet the existing one. Return them to their respective countries, as most are unnecessary burden to our resources. >>The entire security system should not only be vigilant but also pre-emptive in nature >>Unforgiving laws for the perpetrators of terrorism acts >>Above all, good neighborhood and patriotism. You are Kenyan and when the country burns, you bound to loose as well. When you act "innocently" as a middleman or a link to help that unknowingly bad guy acquire a passport or ID, a housing etc without questioning, you are as guilty as anyone else

The four kidnapped aid workers have been rescued....One shabaab despatched to his maker by our Mboys (KDF)......I'll agree with many here....Time to shut down those refugee camps and relocate them 1000 kms from the nearest border (Even if that lands them in the middle of Indian ocean). It's no good being nice to this people. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

@254 The only problem with those solutions is that the attackers are Kenyans. You see Majengo Youth centre recruited many thugs from majengo...I heard a story of how they transformed known gangsters who were being trailed by the police and were on police hit-list.These thugs are now top militants in alshabab kenyan wing. They indoctrinated these thugs and they are now more dangerous then Somali alshababs...They know they have no future once alshabab crumbles so they will resort to anything to maintain their now 'carefree' lifestyle. I have followed most tweets from @mycpress they are full of hate for non muslims they had posted some videos showing how they recruited Kenyans to their cause unless we pacify Somalia and apprehend the top Kenyan commanders No amount of police patrol will end this attacks. I wonder what Iteere's preliminary investigations reveal? Perhaps "an electrical fault".

As a Kenyan, I feel so bad about these senseless murders. At this point, I think what we need to do is to take stock of the situation and come up with strategies that can work in defeating these attacks. It is obvious that the objective of targeting worshipers is to undermine civilian backing of the KDF mission in Somalia. We should also realize that the enemy has sympathizers in Kenya and is also capitalizing on rampant corruption especially in the Kenyan police force for it to be able to carry out these attacks. Worse still, most Kenyans are ignorant when it comes to security issues.
One key thing that we need to do is to educate all our people (perhaps using the media) on how to be alert and vigilant about the perpetrators of these attacks. Our internal security apparatus also needs to wake up and a do better job in terms of information gathering and processing. The Kenyan Muslims and also the Somali communities are important assets that we could use to defeat these buggers. They can play a crucial role in surveillance and infiltration. We also need to dish out harsher punishments for corrupt police officers. It is a tragedy that despite rampant corruption in our police force being an open secret, the bosses have refused to acknowledge this. Just my thoughts.

This is sad. Muslims do not support these attacks. @Kimiri you've spoken very well Let us all condem killing of innocent. Let us also maintain that the war on terror is not a war on Islam or on Muslims. However, there are still those who are involved in the war on terror but have not overcome their suspicion and mistrust of Muslims. They need to change their perception and turn Muslims into Partners in the war on terror. Njung'e wrote:Religious war? @guka there is a great misconception as far as Jihad in Islam is concerned. This misconception is not only among the non-Muslims, even among the Muslims. Jihad comes from the Arabic word Jahada, which means to strive, to struggle. In Islamic context it means to strive against ones own evil inclinations. It also means to strive to make the society better. It also means to strive in the battle field for self defense. It also means to fight against tirant opression. Jihad basically means to strive, it means to struggle. Jihad is not terrorism:It is to be emphasized that terrorism against the innocent civilians, whether through aggression or suicidal means, is under no circumstances permissible in Islam. But Islam does not allow, under any circumstance, terrorism against non-combatants and innocent people. Terrorism is not JihadTerrorism is Fasad (mischief). It is against the teachings of Islam. There are some people who use their twisted arguments to justify terrorism for their causes, but it has no justification. God says: Quran chapter 2:11-12: When it is said to them: 'Make not mischief on the earth,' they say: 'Why, we only want to correct things.' Indeed they are the mischief doers, but they realize (it) not.

Kenyan police are stranded with a terror suspect and Swiss national after his country refused to take him because of his links with the Islamist rebels in Somalia. “Clear evidence shows that he visited regions of Somalia where jihadist groups are involved in conflict (against the government). It also appears that he had contact with Islamist elements in Switzerland.” http://www.standardmedia...2000060933&pageNo=1
On Monday, seven officers from Scotland Yard’s Counter Terrorism Command are expected in the country to hunt for a British woman linked to the June 24 attack at Jericho Beer Garden in Mombasa where three people were killed in a grenade attack and scores injured last Sunday. Samantha Lewthwaite, 28, is wanted for possessing explosives and conspiring to make bombs. Police statistics show an increase of the number of foreigners flocking to Kenya seeking to join the Al Shabaab terror group. There is more than meets the eye. If they continue bombing churches, who would want to attend church? I live near some big church and as soon as this news broke, I saw cars drive off at maddening speed!! I doubt they waited for offering and tithes time.
Do you remember "Uhuru Park"? Did you hear about this case afterwards? What happened to the suspects? You've all the answers . Quote:The man said to be a pastor and arrested by police while ferrying key bomb-making materials, was to arrive in Mombasa on the night preceding on Sunday’s ‘No’ rally in the Coastal city, security sources have revealed.
Investigators have also established the man, who was carrying a safety pin and detonator for the bomb, and who calls himself Pastor John Kamau of Victory Church, is a nominated Party of National Unity (PNU) Council. Gitau’s fellow civic leaders are, however, unsure if he is in the ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ side. Members of the church he was said to belong to told The Standard he was excommunicated a while back. Some of them are fake and wealthy 'apostles', money hungry & blood thirsty liars. Some of them real business is to kill innocents. Transporting bombs to kill innocent souls and spill blood all in the name of politics… to prove political point. I've read the Bible in deep. So Christian remember this: " Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruit." Mathew 7: 15-16. I'm Muslim and I know this. I should also tell you that the Quran recognize all the original books of God: - Torah, which came with Moses (p.b.u.h) - Zabur, which came with David (p.b.u.h) - Injeel (Injili in Swahili, Gospel in English), which came with Jesus (p.b.u.h).

LATEST ALSHABAB VIDEO @selah, remember what I said: Quote:This is sad. Muslims do not support these attacks. All I'm trying to say is that, Islam forbids the killing of innocent people. But if you go to the Internet and find sites which claim to be Islamic, then you'll not find one, but thousands of them. And I can tell you that they may not truly Islamic. Some of these sites are created by enemies of Islam. Quote:A Christian surveyor, Professor Edward reported in the TIME Magazine of April 16, 1979 that in a span of 150 years, from 1800 CE to 1950 CE over 60,000 books have been written against Islam. It works out to more than one book against Islam everyday. We all know that as the western media is against the ISLAM these numbers have reached the phenominal hights spreading misconceptions against Islam. But again, there are black sheep in every 'home'. So as much as there are those who call themselves Christians, yet what they do is non-Christian, there are those who call themselves Muslims but they act non-Islamic. According to the Quran, if one kills an innocent person, it is like he has killed the whole of humanity! By the same token, if one saved a life, it would be like he has saved the whole of humanity! This teaching is a great example of the Quran’s respect for human life.

@AlphDoti How many muslims read their Quaran after they have finished Madrassa, Very few..I have muslim brothers who don't know much of the religion they profess...The site I have shared is used by alshabab to spread their propaganda...if you look at the other videos you will see islamic classes/sermons conducted by the alshabab kenyan sheik. The asset alshabab is using is the Quran...they are distorting the message in there to further their cause. Islam is not violent but there are sections just like in the bible where violence is encouraged e.g in the bible the old testament is full of wars, stoning of sinners etc...while jihad crusade is what made Islam spread in middle east, part of africa and europe. If you listen to alsabab clerics they use The qurans and hadith to doctrinate their followers just like most occults do i.e Using dogma to hypnotize followers into doing unlawful acts. This situation was extremely sad. It seems clear that they want to fake a religious war and that's why churches are being targeted.
Let's continue praying that all goes well. Unfortunately with terrorists, it is hard to be careful enough coz they strike unannounced but do your best to stay safe.

I can tell you that you don't have to go to madrassa to be Muslim. If those friends claim to be Muslims and they claim to have gone to madrassa and yet their actions not Islamic, then they are not Muslims in the heart.selah wrote:The site I have shared is used by alshabab to spread their propaganda...if you look at the other videos you will see islamic classes/sermons conducted by the alshabab kenyan sheik. I hate to discuss this controversial topic and look like we are arguing, but for allow me to ask a question: What do those people really know about Islam? - Not what they have heard, - not what they have read in the newspapers, - not what they have seen on television, - not what their teacher or professor say about Islam, - not what their neighbours or friends say or what the priest or minister of their church say. - But what they have come to understand from basic facts, historical, scriptural facts about system of life, which is called Islam?
Not even what they have witnessed through behavior of some Muslims, because I don't think I have to tell in objective person that a Christian is not necessarilly an example of life of Christ.
And a Muslim therefore, is not necessarily an example of the faith that he might claim to embrace.
To be fair and objective, such sources of information about Islam, or any other faith, would not be an acceptable source of judging anything or anyone. Why then are so many people convinced, and why are so many people standing in judgement about subject that they have far no informaiton if any, and far few actual facts about.selah wrote:Islam is not violent The strangest thing is that, Islam is system of life, a global faith, that one could know very easily by going to the sources. And these sources are two: (1). One is the scritural source, which is the Quran (fourth book from God after Torah, Zabur, and Injeel). (2). The other is human source, which is the life of prophet pbuh (popularly known as Hadiths).
In the same way we could make an objective investigation into the life and message of Jesus Christ (pbuh). And that would allow us to know if we want to call ourselves Christians. How we could follow the life & message of Jesus, look directly to his message, called Evangel of Good News, or look directly to his life and his behaviour. This will tell us what it is to be Christian if you want to use that terminology.selah wrote:...but there are sections just like in the bible where violence is encouraged e.g in the bible the old testament is full of wars, stoning of sinners etc... Of course some people are there to contend with a pre-conditioned mind, having done some preparation that they consider to be critic of some sort. That is okay. But my respond is not for those people. They are welcome to study Islam, and given opportunity, they are welcome to put forward their criticism. You can qoute me those verses which say against what I have told you above.selah wrote:...while jihad crusade is what made Islam spread in middle east, part of africa and europe. I already stated in my earlier post that Jihad is not terrorism and Islam condems killing of innocent.
Actually, there are many kinds of jihaad in Islam: 1). Jihad bin nafs – fight with your ownself that you wont do any sin. 2). Jihad bil qalm — fight through a pen and tell non belivers that islam want peace. 3). Jihad bil maal — if you cant fight and you are weak — spend money and buy armours for people who are fighting. 4). Jihad bil saif — fight for your rights and self defense.selah wrote:If you listen to alsabab clerics they use The qurans and hadith to doctrinate their followers just like most occults do i.e Using dogma to hypnotize followers into doing unlawful acts.
This is not Islam. And those are not true Muslims. And no Muslim supports Al-Shabab.

It pains to hear those loud mouthed NGO agents crying rights. I have previously advocated for the use of Michuki tactics against Majengo Youths like it was done with Mungiks. These brutes only understand violence and unless it is unleashed on them mercilessly they will only get bolder.
