Apparently advertisers judge how much to pay people according to where they come from (Rink: http://t.co/7zlXkROZ ). You think this is fair? I've seen a lot of people from not so affluent areas struggle till they were able to buy a certain thing. I feel if someone wants to buy something, they will buy. What do you think?

I haven't watched the link you provided (net issues). What i know is that there is something called market segmentation. You will realize the billboards you will see in westlands are quite different from those on jogoo road. Samsung will advertise a very expensive phone on the westlands round-about and at the same time advertise a more affordable phone at city stadium.

It's a fact of life. If you were mercedes advertising a new model, where would you put up a billboard? a) Karen, b) Buruburu, c) Kibera

BBI will solve it

KRATOS: but that may not show the correct preference for the buyers. In most cases, middle class people tend to buy very expensive products so as to make a statement. The rich have no statement to make....read:Rich dad, poor dad..

Shida iko wapi?

If an idiot wants to pay millions of HIS or HER money to place an ad in a radio that has only 200 listeners; what does it matter to you?

They might prefer expensive things but they can't afford them. The rich will buy coz they can afford but not necessarily coz they prefer.
The big numbers will come from the rich. The middle class and their want to "make statements" will remain at that, want.

I also disagree with that article about Capital fm and it being a wadosi station. Most of the other stations talk a lot of crap for my liking.Nothing meaningful one can learn from them. The likes of Classic fm, Kiss fm, Ghetto radio etc.
