Anyway; when you talk of japanese when importing cars - most of them are honest apart from afew crooks here and there and if the company is registered with JUMVEA chances of losing your money are slim. I dont know about business regulation in italy - i am importing for the first time.
@Robinhood - LoCs i know about; but again they are not a guarantee that the guy will not fleece you - he can take his BoL and submit to the bank and he be paid - but might ship junk to me. So i may not really have much control; Now, is there any other way apart from LoC especailly if i can allow the receiving bank to pay the guy after confirming that what i paid for is what has been delivered to me??
@Qsomething - Negotiations already done but the difference between my purchase price and the shipping cost is about 1.5 times - the guy seems to be charging too much for shipment and so i do need if i can to get a reliable shipping agent to directly negotiate shipping and then i connect my supplier in italy and the shipping line.
That is why i am asking!
