The counter went up today, confidence from traders "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. The problem is you hope when you should fear & fear when you should hope: - Jesse Livermore .

Who was in the guy involved in Uchumi when it went down? Who is the guy involved in Centum? That'll be CK... I've always rooted for Mworia, but I'm pretty disappointed with the whole furore around not issuing a profit warning The harder you work, the luckier you get

This man Mworia started with so much flambo and oomph . Now see where he is taking us. Too much energy and talk, zero or negative performance. Waiting for sub 10 to read very soon. Bure kabisa. Thieves

It may not matter how many academic accolades one has, the explanations given do not add up. Such unprofessional conduct is what leads to most investments and companies in Kenya to be undervalued. Investors lack the required safety which is both a problem with the regulating body (CMA) and a sheer lack of adhering to professional ethics and conduct by those who run investment banks. We've heard a few investment companies go under in just a blink -Francis&Thuo, Discount securities come to mind. The common problem is that the regulation does not protect investors particularly in publicly trading companies and those who run these companies are not prosecuted for failing to comply with the regulation.

I treated this thread as hype. Maybe Mworia is a genius. But not for the reasons splashed here. I see no genius in exiting stock-mkt to go into real estate. Actually that's quite a basic choice when one becomes liquid enough. There are many threads here of Wazuans who do it when they raise enough capital from stocks.
Having said that, am not sure his exit was optimally timed nor is his entry into real estate. Just my opinion.

Disclosures, investment strategy, real estate vs equities, time will tell. Good luck Mworia Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

I thought CMA had given Centum up to close of biz today to explain why they didn't issue a profit warning. I can't see anything on the CMA press section... http://www.cma.or.ke/ind...amp;id=24&Itemid=100$15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

Whatever fines to be paid by Mworia, Centum and the Board will eventually be expensed in the P & L account and therefore their gross negligence will eventually be passed to the ordinary shareholders. That is Kenya for you. Nothing will ever change. CMA cannot deal with them individually; it is blanket condemnation. Thieves

“It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you'll do things differently.” Warren Buffett Too bad Mworia never read this comment GOD BLESS YOUR LIFE

@murchr...what % of your portfolio is in Centum?
Those whose portfolios contain significant portions of centum will not agree with your sentiments about overreacting. By not diclosing, Mworia, denied shareholders (current and prospective) from taking informed decisions on the stock...and that my friend can make the difference between money made and money lost. And at the end of the day...Mworia suffers nothing!
If I were him, I would not have proffered the lame excuse about inability to value (nobody bought that crap)...its like saying that they just go to sleep and wake up at year to find out how their investments are doing. Investors dont pay fund managers to be passive...they pay them to be active managers.
...and yes (to confirm your thinking)...I am a memba of 'centum'
