I will not give them an F, since they post some bit of info on their website. They have been poor when it comes to communication to do with listing.

75% share float to be locked in for 5 years - large stakeholders. That leaves only 550M shares in the market. Volume drought will cushion price volatility as well as push prices higher.

Equity bank - I see that replication via grassroot (bottom of the pyramid) insurance - micro insurance as cheap as 20/day or 600/month!? Payable via mpesa. Steady results since 2008.

I have been digging up some archives.

- Microinsurance insights from India, Kenya & Philippines - Value creation opportunities.

Microinsurance is the way to go for small economies aka 3rd soon to become 1st world. The liquid money is always at the pyramid bottom - ask equity, mpesa bank - they've become case studies even for World Bank and other money masters smile

Considering that Co-op owns ~26% of CIC, It means that CIC Q1 profits is Ksh 465M. They have achieved in Q1 slightly more that half what they achieved in 4 quarters OF 2011. This will be a muscular yar for CIC!!

C P from http://www.businessdaily.../-/gelypdz/-/index.html
