"MUKAU" please advise its common name and possibly the Botanical name too.

It is supposedly a reputed source of good timber especialy for roofing!

It would help if you could share your knowledge/experience with its timber.

I am sure after we get to know the Tree's English name, more bloggers will be in a position to share whatever they may know on the suitability of its timber.

Thanks in advance

I gathered the info above as supplied by good Wazuans.
Since I needed to lay my hands on timber prety fast, I ended up using Eucalyptus as it was more readily available.

I however undesrstand this "Mukau" timber is pretty good and pest reistant.

I imagine the seedling sellers nay know a thing or two about the quality of its timber.

I would like to plant some myself - 'kingauwi at gmail dot com'
