Public resources for private functions.

Then we say we cant balance the budget because of low taxes.

RIP, I hope someone's left behind to spend those Goldenberg billions!

I really feel for the 4 others who were made to leave their families on a sunday to attend to unscheduled work (whether paid or not).

As for Saitoti and Ojode, what struck me on hearing the news was that they were using tax payers resources to attend to personal errands (private fund raising). I guess the two died doing what they do best ripping off Kenyans.

Having said that condolences to the families of the 6 Kenyans.

I had grown to like Ojode through the parliamentary sessions. He really had this nation at the top of his mind. I remember when he was saying how cattle rustlers are giving him sleepless nights. I mourn for him.

BBI will solve it

Let every clean kenyan raise up their hands.

Can't we just appreciate people for the positive and little they did?
Is there anything like a clean leader?
If HEAVEN itself suffered a revolution when lucifer tried to overthrow the goverment! how much more the earth?

There are petty crimes and serious crimes. We tend to have a dismissive attitude towards white collar crime, - what is a few looted billions of public funds huh? - but it is very serious and immoral. Thats why in US they put away people like Madoff for 50 years.
People who loot economies and organizations wipe out pensions, kill businesses, snatch food and medicine right out of the honest, working man's mouth. They propagate a massive burden of suffering upon millions. Pick a random Kenyan off the street,..what is his worst crime? - probably running off with his neighbour's debt of 1500/- ? A bar brawl after a soccer match?
Compare that to the systematic looting of KCC for instance,..the corruption with Coffee and Coffee Board of Kenya ...how many families lost their livelihood because of these acts?

SINS ARE NOT EQUAL. We should never forget that. We should at least strive to have leaders that are not guilty of major ones.

Kenyans die everyday from causes that could be prevented. The government have failed Millions of Kenyans, stealing from the poor and making money off the masses. People die of hunger and diseases because these fat politician stole or ignore the people. RIP Saitoti but I am not sad!

If what happened yesterday was fiction in a book titled The ill-fated flight, Mr Katabaruga , my Literature in English teacher who taught me many years back would have told me that the crash was symbolic. He would have told me that it epitomized God’s rejection of the money that was to be fundraised. He would also have told me that it was a warning for Caesar to keep off children of God. The Clergy at the same time should also evaluate their involvement with politicians. If this is not heeded, then God would continue to be angry. That is what Mr Katabaruga would have analyzed the situation, in the novel, The ill fated flight, not me.

I also do not mourn the death of these people... Let us hope the taxes they refused to pay and the exit packages they negotiated for their greedy selves will be a comfort to their families... We did not have an hour of mourning for the 1,000 people who died during the PEV yet you expect me to mourn for 3 days for people who served none but themselves... NKT!!

If you are a christian you should have in mind that a leader whether good or bad is given by God...Bad leaders are given to us because we choose not to hear the voice of God,remember Saul,in 1st Samuel 8 God describes how the bad leader will rule over them, take away their children and appoint them for himself etc...In Kenya its exactly the same majority of us are content and glad when people with tarnished characters take the helm,we actually adore and praise them but in the long run its the common citizen who faces the brunt of all the schemes the so called "Leader" plans and is engaged in...I really dont know if we will ever change and get amongst as people of impeccable characters not to lord over us but to walk with and guide us...
