Kenyans die everyday from causes that could be prevented. The government have failed Millions of Kenyans, stealing from the poor and making money off the masses. People die of hunger and diseases because these fat politician stole or ignore the people. RIP Saitoti but I am not sad!

Our African culture allows us to keep quiet, and not speak ill of the dead. we try most of the time to console the bereaved, not to shout to the world how the dead was bad.
That cd explain why the former prezzo moi did not speak a word on the late prof wangari maathai.
After all saitoti was not the only one connected to Goldenberge, why choose to talk about the scandle now. RIP Georgie, Joshua et alSad

We speak kind words OF the dead, not FOR them, but for the families and friends that they leave behind.

It helps the console those left behind to deal with their loss...

So, if there is something you hate about a person, say it when the person is alive - it is the only time he / she can hear it and [hopefully] change their ways for the better.

After a person dies, we leave them to God and our duty is to console those whom they left behind.

Imagine how you'd feel if your father died and people only reminded you the bad things he did...

What is wrong with us kenyans?

I am not 'mourning' like I would a dear member but I am mourning the fact that I knew him as a leader and he had work to do for me as a citizen of this country. Unfinished biz he's left behind.

Thieves die and so do saints everyday but how do u expect us to mourn them when we only come to know them when they lie dead?
If you live a public life, whether clean or not, the very fact that I follow your progress every single day is enough reason to make me 'feel' the loss.
I feel the loss because you have been given the responsibility to look after me as a citizen.
Look at it this way,the pain the family is going through is equal to the pain felt by the poor family after the loss of their loved unknown fellow.
But diff. is,one carried a nation's responsibility while the other did not!
Gauge urself between the two ,whom d u expect the public to mour for more? To whom much is given much is required.
When the chinese president died people were 'forced' to mourn. And all manner of tears were shed. He may not have been the best but he carried a country's responsibility and it was just a proper thing to do.

I dont think am that that stone hearted.
I felt sad when they killed gaddafi cz I know no human being is a saint.

First of all, your assertion is not true; an aircraft crashing is NEWS regardless of whom the passengers were!

Secondly; if that chopper had landed safely at its intended destination, you can be sure that the fund-raising mass at Nyarongi Catholic Church would have been covered by the media houses... a PNU presidential candidate travelling together with an ODM MP... that was already newsworthy even without the fateful accident.

Think about that

I really feel for the 4 others who were made to leave their families on a sunday to attend to unscheduled work (whether paid or not).

As for Saitoti and Ojode, what struck me on hearing the news was that they were using tax payers resources to attend to personal errands (private fund raising). I guess the two died doing what they do best ripping off Kenyans.

Having said that condolences to the families of the 6 Kenyans.

smile Thank you.
Let every clean kenyan raise up their hands.

Can't we just appreciate people for the positive and little they did?
Is there anything like a clean leader?
If HEAVEN itself suffered a revolution when lucifer tried to overthrow the goverment! how much more the earth?

An no am not condoning evil.Just being human.
