I'd pray for Israel as much as i would pray for Somalia as long as they(Israel) deserve my prayers.

Very interesting topic, to be honest before reading the post, my first thought was well since the founder of Christianity was himself a Jew, it then goes that you would pray for Israel. But when you remember that the Jews actually think Jesus was a phony and the real messiah has not yet come, then it doesnt make sense for Christians to pray for Jews, in that sense. I hate to say this but religion has brought so much confusion, honestly! Take this quote below

@ Lolest! Psalm 122:6 "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee"

Its verses like this that are quoted by pastors and taken out of context. This was written after the Jews were exiled into Babylonnia 9 thousands of years ago) and they were mourning about the destroyed Temple and resolved to rebuild and eventually go back to Jerusalem. So a Christian taking this verse and applying it to present day is a bit far fetched. The bible was redacted over a number of years and only the first five books, the Pentateuch, are said to be expressly from God. The other books are stories, fables and guidances, basically interpretations by men, of what God said( or what they think God said) I think Jews secretly laugh at Christians, coz if Jesus was a Jew, how do you then as a Christian expect to know more about God and salvation than a Jew, if your teachings are based on Judaism? Same goes for Islam, Muhammad was heavily influenced by Judaism to a point that in the beginning Muslims used to pray facing Jerusalem, coz Muhammad like Jesus, thought Jews would embrace Islam and convert. I cant imagine the chaos had Muslims continued praying facing Jerusalem. Its like a child thinking they know more than their parent. The same way Christians think Jews are lost and will only find salvation by accepting Jesus, Jews think Christians are a sect that was only made popular coz of Roman emperor Constantine. I dont think you should necessarily pray for Israel, I think you should pray for anyone in need, its abit ironical to pray for Israel while there are so many dying of famine right next door in Somalia

Essyk, rofl, can you tell us having prayed in keshas for Israel if you got blessings as was promised.

Sad I lost weight instead cz of constant fastings.
Not sure if that is the promised blessing.

But I stopped the Israel keshas after one episode left me traumatised.
By 3am which to me is the most trying moment,I was worn out,so I stepped outside to warm myself next to a bonfire the watchman had made.It was very chilly.
I started dozing unaware that my hair was touching the flames! It was a funny smell that woke me up only to see my hair smoking! I quickly put it off, covered my head and went back inside to quickly repent for sneaking out when people were praying for Israel!
I had to trim my hair after that.
Only God knows about the incident and now wazua.

Woii. Its a relief to know you escaped. I can only hope you had not emptied your bank account while still there?

But on other matters as we criticize, lets not condemn the people individually or collectively. The object of attention is the system, the mindset that controls the people.

me thinks that all gentiles (non jews) gained equal status with jews when Lord Jesus died (am not a theologian so don't drag me there) that means we are all equal in God's eye..which is why i hate it when israel persecutes palestine. but then again i always ask myself, how come most influencial people have a jewish lineage? am thinking Jesus, Einstein etc?
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

This new news (that you will not see in family tv or hear on radio 316) ought to kindle more sober reflections among the Israel crowd.

Rink and another rink

Quote:
The rage of those who attended the rally seems to reflect a growing intolerance of the incoming African asylum seekers and migrant workers, even among those in the highest ranks of power.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told his ministers that the phenomenon of “illegal work infiltrators” was “very grave,” and that it “threatened the social fabric of society,” Israel’s national security and national identity. He also warned that unless action is taken, the migrants could “inundate” the country and “cancel out its image as a Jewish and democratic state.”
