I am watching the national prayer day and I find myself getting infuriated not only at the cost of it all which could have done a lot more towards restoring hope for IDPs, etc rather than filling stomachs, but also that as Kenyans, we somehow continue to cling to the idea that events like this carry more significance in creating change in this country.
I think prayer is important and has it's place, but something about the grandiose nature of this event is getting to me
It has been said that this is not being funded by the government but rather by our MPs and it seems to be forgotten where the MPs get the money from
