let me clear the confusion here ! Basically what we are seeing with the downtrend is NOT an end to the bull like some are saying . its a retracement that i had earlier called for to retest the trendline ( as shown int he image below)
Until we break the trendline then i will be getting bullish or staying of the market and monitoring the situation.
since we had bottomed from the 3072 lows am bullish on the index and i expect the trendline to hold the index .the trendline is the black line running up the chart below !

how i hate such posts . Screaming the bull is dead and you cannot even post a single chart to support ur claims. The bull isnt dead.

@SPT, Whats your current view on TCL as a speculative play

Currently trading at a trailing PE of 21 so i'd avoid it like fire despite, though they should post good H1 results. I'd rather speculate on their cash cow, Cables that has more upside potential what with increased power connections & a possible boost from the oil find in terms of more business! Cables also has a better trailing PE of 9.
A quick speculative play for me at the moment would be KCB & Equity that have impressive demand which came in especially KCB after div bok closure! And the fundamentals are quite good!

I'm just hoping that KE blast doesn't spook investors esp judging by the USDKES move at the moment - almost at 86. If foreigners get spooked, it wont be funny as they exit the market which has rallied on selective counters...

Hopefully, the downward movement in oil price persists & prevent pressure on the KE currency from building up!Pray

The decline of oil prices alone cannot fix that BoP. Treasury fiscal policies will...

This was a selective bull and that is why some stock are being punished heavily ..kplc et all

What do you think about Tullow's announcement in three weeks times on the commercial viability of Ngamia 1 ? The fundamentals are ugly but a positive conclusion on viability might help,a negative will be catastrophic!

When it comes to oil the only time i'm interested is when actually drilling dates are being announced. Because then the real value of the oil can start to impact the economy.

Am almost certain going by the reports so far...If Ngamia1 has more oil than uganda what would make it not commercially viable if ugandan is?laymans logic

@ Hunderwear - UNGA is a cheap stock and due to the limited supply available the price had to go up.
