Praying for Israel, like John Hagee and family media are deceiving hundreds of thousands, is denying Jesus Christ and the cross.

This mindset:

a) Maintains that jews only are special people above all the rest denying the promise that all are one in Christ and there is neither Jew nor Greek etc.

b) Denies that those in Christ are Abrahams seed and heirs according to the promise. All the promises they are claiming to the exclusion of all humanity belong to those who are Christs.

Indeed, this mindset

c) Teaches that there will be rebuilt temple in Jerusalem in which sacrifices will be offered meaning Christs sacrifice and blood is nothing.

d) Is pushing for Iran to be attacked, a blood thirsty, war mongering mindset.

Essyk, rofl, can you tell us having prayed in keshas for Israel if you got blessings as was promised. As India tells us which Jerusalem this is. The one that is coming or this other one....

India, I think not.

The chapter you have quoted for lolesst mentions:
a) 'Our feet' within the gates
b) tribes of the Lord,
c) thrones of judgment

The details and explanation of which I find in Revelation 21 that talk about the new Jerusalem. The parallel is unmistakable. David is certainly not talking about this current Jerusalem.

Of course, if David was praying for the peace of this current Jerusalem what will you make of the destruction of the same by Titus in 70 AD?

Lolest!

I thought someone would quote Gen 12

12 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

2 “I will make you into a great nation,
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.”

This is the portion that is most quoted by the pray-for-Israel-camp.

Sad I lost weight instead cz of constant fastings.
Not sure if that is the promised blessing.

But I stopped the Israel keshas after one episode left me traumatised.
By 3am which to me is the most trying moment,I was worn out,so I stepped outside to warm myself next to a bonfire the watchman had made.It was very chilly.
I started dozing unaware that my hair was touching the flames! It was a funny smell that woke me up only to see my hair smoking! I quickly put it off, covered my head and went back inside to quickly repent for sneaking out when people were praying for Israel!
I had to trim my hair after that.
Only God knows about the incident and now wazua.

I have no problem with praying for anyone, for it cannot be ungodly to pray for peace. Indeed I pray for God's people everywhere. I however think the pray for Israel crowd take it a bit too far. It is not in doubt that Israel is a special nation before God, but that cannot be an excuse to look the other way when Israel uses phosphorus bombs on innocent people and its soldiers commit what would otherwise be war crimes and go unpunished.
I also find it a bit ironic that the Jews do not care much about Africans. Indeed they were the largest backers of the Apartheid regime in SA, providing weapons Etc

@essyk, Pole sana for your loss [even though i think by now your hair has grown back].
All the same, i think i understand you better now.

About Israel and its blessings, i think there is a section in the Bible [ don't ask me which book coz i don't rem and i'm not a preacher], it's a parable sort of and a farm or something.
It talks of God having sent messengers to the farm[Israel], they[Israelis] killed them. He sent them prophets, they killed them, He then sent His only son, they killed Him.
It's then asked in the parable,to the masses, 'What would you do as the landlord?" And the crowd responded, "I would give the farm to someone else".The promise to Abraham i think stands though.Israel is still blessed.
Israel is no longer the chosen state. There has been several since then,USA was the new Israel from late 19th century until after the end of the cold war. They lost that after they became satanic.

It doesn't matter, if God is there, he probably stop listening to 99% of those who pray!

Me thinks today's war obsessed and racist israel is not the same as wa those days.
The present Israel needs judgement and deliverance.
I think people just take things too far.

Choose any Old Testament Book and read it.Those Israelis were also very racist and warlike.
