you misunderstood the ad; it doesn't say that!

It says that a can of the drink has as much vitamins as 80 oranges.

Apart from vitamins, an orange has very many other nutrients that are not available in VITA500.

One might also claim that a bottle of Keringet has 50 time the amount of water in an orange! That doesn't mean that it is equivalent to 50 oranges.

Fanya research internet on these energy drinks and stay safe. Most rejected or banned goods find market in Africa cz we never research.
I am very keen on key ingredients & always check the pros and cons of each on a human body.Sio tu kununua cz they mentioned oranges.

Vita ingredients
No caffeine
vitamin c(ascorbic acid), liquid fructose, fructose, concentrated apple juice, citric acid, taurine

http://healthpsych.psy.vanderbilt.edu/Taurine.htm
Deaths have been linked to the use of caffeinated taurine drinks, but even here, we do not know for certain if energy drinks played a role in the deaths or not. The uncertainty of possible health risks is why some countries have banned energy drinks containing taurine and why Canada and U.S. require a warning label on energy drinks. The uncertainty due to lack of solid data maybe enough reason for some people not to consume energy drinks.

Commercially, the taurine in energy drinks is made synthetically
http://www.globalhealing...lth/dangers-of-taurine/

Studies have implicated synthetic taurine in illnesses ranging from high blood pressure to strokes and seizures to heart disease. For these reasons it’s been banned in some Scandinavian countries after being linked to the deaths of three consumers.

Because taurine is utilized by the body during exercise and in times of stress, it’s become a popular ingredient in energy drinks. But taurine has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system that’s very unnatural.

Taurine in the brain.
Taurine is involved somehow in the development and function of the brain.
We can’t even be sure how much of the taurine in the drink actually reaches the brain!

The daily dose of Taurine should be between 100-500mg, and one can of a popular energy drink, for example, has 1000 milligrams of synthetically produced Taurine. Some people are drinking up to eight cans a day (8000mg of Taurine), an amount that can have drug-like effects on the body and cause damage. Furthermore, mixing stimulants with sedatives, especially alcohol, is extremely risky.
The daily dose of Taurine should be no higher than 500mg.

We eat and drink with ignorance.

...in which case you will bet much better off than drinking vita500...because of the other nutrients.

Indeed, I suspect, just one orange is much, much better for you than a can of vita500

Even if it's true, is it healthy to overdose on Vitamin C?

BBI will solve it

The body needs a combination of elements in the right proportions.

The body does not store vitamins like other nutrients, so it is better to eat 1 orange a day for 80 days than 80 oranges in one day.
This VITA-80 orange thing may just be a vitamin overload that you just pee out soon after.

The Vita 500 being sold here,if it has the same formulation as the one sold in the country of origin, i wouldn't say it has adverse effects.
It is like a must drink in the country of origin and with their attention to details, i would think if it had such adverse effects, it would have been stopped.Don't get me wrong,i'm not saying it's 100%.
All the same, if you can get the real oranges, you can keep the vita o peg aside.

Country of Origin Korea.
Would they really impose a ban if it didn't pose any health risks in the wrong run
I wouldn't touch it with a 10m pole cz of synthetic Tuarine. Its supposed to come from the body itself.

Would these developed countries impose a ban if it didn't pose any health risks in the wrong run?

If taurine comes from the body and you go about manufacturing it synthetically yet the risks of doing that are glaring ,why should I put myself at risk? No I love my body too much.

cant agree more....I learnt 2 things from my bio teacher
1) The body can not stock up on vitamins and minerals... The body just take the much it need daily and rest is excreated.
2)eating a balanced diet is enough to keep healthy simple.

Opinion is free, truth is sacred.

Yes, we eat to live, not live to eat.

Unfortunately, adverts tell us we live to eat. 'You are alive! You can see and hear us! Here, you need this, take, eat and drink it.'

on point.

If the country of origin is Korea, then the K on the KEBS sticker might as well stand for Korea - there is no significant quality assurance going on there either.
