I am wondering which shares are currently a good buy at NSE for an investor wanting to make a quick kill and exit in a few months

At the National Bank of
Kenya (NBK), the
government aims to divest by selling a 51 stake to a strategic partner and another
10 per cent to the public.

But this process has dragged on for too long...

@youcan'tstopusnow, thats a major problem facing NBK. NSSF has 48.05% while Treasury has 22.5% shareholding. While Treasury wants to divest its holding and NSSF holding, NSSF does not want to divest. And the battle goes ....

@ Scheche, welcome to Wazua, if anyone were able to answer the question above truthfully I think they would keep it a secret then the next we would be hearing about them is from the Forbes list being some of the richest people in the world.
Some reasonably seasoned investors in NSE talk of investing for anything from 9 months minimum in order to get a reasonable return. Exceptions do exist though but unless you are willing to gamble it maybe wise not to look for quick kills in NSE or elsewhere.

mwekez@ji, NSSF must toe the line, or else. The desire to be 'independent' on the EAPC issue may have cost the Managing Trustee (Kazongo) his job

Have you considered that NSE is like a roller coaster? Today you could make that kill but kesho be wiped out clean?
If you wish to preserve your capital, try bonds and T-bills.
Tazama chapaa is another potential one if you are willing to part with something like 1000 daily.

Happy hunting.
Knock hard and it will be opened. Ask and you will be answered. Seek and you shall find.

Investment is always a risk. I took a risk in February this year by buying 10,000 NIC shares at 25 and sold them last week 37.33. I am willing to take another shot at NSE. If i burn my fingers today, i will make up tomorrow.

NBK does not sound like a good buy. Any other guru out there with information the rest of us may be missing!

37.33 How now, When did they start quoting stocks to three cents?

Probably meant his/her net exit price after factoring broker charges/commission.
