Nairobi living has become expensive clearly. Even that 45k at a radius of 5km from CBD is not so easy....

I have been living in my own house in Ongata Rongai lakini I cant take the traffic jams anymore. I guess I have not paid rent for so long mpaka I was kind of out of touch with the reality on the ground.

I was shocked to see people paying 56k for a 3 bedroom flat in langata(behind Rafikis)that is overlooking a very filthy Nairobi dam na hapo inje amepark gari ya nguvu d'oh! d'oh!

Anyway the search continues. Am upping the budget to 40K. Nasikia with some luck you can get a main house in ngumo/langata at this price

Guys get real! A mortgage repayment of 40K at the prevailing rates for new mortgages @25% for 20 years would get you just about Kshs 1.9M. Where would you get a house with that money within even 10Kms of CBD?

Nairobi is Very expensive!
I Think Therefore I Am
