@YesuWangu okay okay, there is always another viewpoint http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/08407a.htm. I surmise your presentation as: 'Pope is a facade. (S)he has engaged in sex. History is altered by a church for the sake of appearance. Believers condemned...'No need to spend the whole day plastering something you scorn. Some among us who hold position of Pope in esteem would take offense. Much like someone else would if I you ridiculed their jewish/muslim/buddhist beliefs. Ooh, on second thought, you are not just a Christian but redeemed. So go ahead and save all the other lower Christians. Maybe that is why Gandhi, a hindu who had studied the bible, koran, gita once said... I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.

Muganda,
I thought you were better than this..... one of the few level headed members in club sk.
You have made interesting yet wrong assumptions about me and about the content of the presentation, exactly like I did about you.
Its my preference to maintain our dignity and composure, as elders, and avoid some unnecessary personalized & customized comments. Are you okay with that? Even if you are not, rest assured I will not follow you down there.
I have so far been courteous, even apologized where I felt I did wrong after making fun. Again I am sorry for that, I should have empathized.
But I do not feel sorry for what is in those pages and I will not apologize for them. You take it up with the author if you are still offended.
Moving the debate forward, the link you have provided is the only worthy issue befitting your status and my response.
I do not deny that this has always been a contentious issue. And with the limited use of media e.g. print in those days, it will continue being contentious. We will die and still leave it contentious.
So do we now get angry and sensationally & theatrically personalize the issue when an institution in far away Europe is touched? By a European no less? Come on man! Yesuwangu merely posted what was written and published.
So I will read your link again and again and again and again. Then accumulate it together with the nasty others that I already know about Rome and see how the composite is consistent.
I will reply, maybe not in this thread and maybe not today. Good day, Muganda.

@Muganda, the history of the papacy is replete with stuff which you either have to try to explain away, or simply assume they did not take place. Whether or you have high regard for the office, certain occupants of the office have at times not acted in line with the expectations of the same office. The selling of indulgences was wrong, the inquisition was wrong, the silence by Pope Pius XII in the face of Nazi atrocities in WWII was very wrong, and the attempt by the church to cover up child molestation complaints is simply unacceptable. IMHO, these are historical events and discussing them is not disrespect to anyone. Great men are not always wise, neither do the aged understand judgement...

Aaah @Robinhood excellent points. You will see I agree here: http://www.wazua.co.ke/f...s&m=69412#post69412

My point is not to exonerate. I only objected when I sensed apparent glee, leading me to question the motive behind continued persistence.

@YesuWangu, POLE! No harm no foul; I am imperfect.
Though strong, the aim of my post was to raise awareness for the need of sensitivity towards our brothers.
I also wholy agree with your position of 'placing information before readers' as long as, in this subject, it is guided by a sincere motive.

Hooray! I have found a mine. Depending on perspectives, it may be a gold mine or just a hole in the ground. I went digging in the internet and I dug and dug and dug and dug.....and I found. It contains the link of the book I have been referring to and others I did not know of. I have tested it and it works, it will just take a while. Click it or c&p in your browser. http://amazingdiscoveries.org/ebooks-romanism

So there will be many catholics in heaven as there will be protestants etc. Mind your faith! "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. The birth of Christ itself scandalizes sex; doesn't it? But Christ is (was?)Man, isn't he? Wasn't he?
Or is it that even the writers of the Gospels were not 'revolutionary' enough?
Yet there's something appealing in an artist drawing his portrait and naming it 'Christ.' Or a concubine's face being tagged as 'Mary.'
Or an 'angry' crowd demanding for Ambrose to be bishop of Milan despite having a wife.
And if not even the catholic church has been able to bear human sexuality well enough for the world to applaud, is it not time to question conventional beliefs about humanity? Or even about God?
