Jogoo Kimakia did not go bankrupt.They divested from the business to real estate....and the second generation family members are not keen on transport business....

am happy to see these guys go down. They have mistreated me before, and they use old buses like Kaj, Kam etc for eldoret routes.

one of the tricks to survive is to continuously renew your fleet. Old buses breakdown too often, are uncomfortable which chases clients away. With new buses, clients will always be happy n smiling. Question is, what do you do with the old ones.

they just moved, i have a friend we schooled together in high school. he is doing ok.

@ kenmac and the likes, dont celebrate too soon, old cocks die hard. The courts have rejected the winding up petition. It appears to be a case of family feud( could be similar to Tuskys)

The secret of survival is to be found at Coast Bus... Continuously renewing their fleet. Maintaining buses if very good quality.

Many companies have come and gone on the Nairobi Mombasa route but Coast Bus has remained for many decades and still going strong.

When buses age they are bought by entrepreneurs who fill them in Muthurwa bus terminus. Most headed to Kayole apparently.

I met a former mechanic in Akamba who complained that their dues are yet to be paid. He has a jobless wife and two kids.

I hope the case works in favour of employees.Sad
