True, its far much worse! Energy costs (petroleum, electricity) should not just be left to profiteers. This high energy cost will impact on almost every sphere of life reversing the efforts already made in containing inflation.
First 50 units will cost 3.70/= up from 2/= (85% increase)
Between 51 and 1,500 units will cost 11.79/= per unit from Sh8.10 per Kwh .... (46% increase)
Those consuming above 1,500 units will pay Sh22 per unit from 18.75/=....(17% increase)
Fixed charge also goes up from from 120/= to 160/=.... (33%increase)
