am noticing what excites investors is actually missing and thats loan book growth !
maybe it has plateaued and now its on its way down .
since there's no manipulation of the shilling were will they get their profits from ? mmmmmh...

@qw KCB will roar this year with an EPS of 5bob as promised by the chairman..

DPS will come in at 2.75 and NAV per share of 18bob..

At current prices Equity cannot touch KCBs fundamentals with a long pole..

Let me make a prediction here ! Come half year results meeeew! will still be trailing equity a.k.a member.
Lets see how first kcb will recover its loan book. Definatly not in one quater !

Question to the experts.

How did EBL manage to reduce NPL from 4.5% in Mar '11 to 2.7% in Mar '12 considering an increase in interest rates during the same period?

Increasing lending rates does not necessarily mean increasing defaults especially if they are managed well through restricturing through longer repayment periods rather than increased payments..

The lower NPLs means lower default risk
