I was told and it's a true story, that a certain mzungu offered to buy chamelions of various breed and export to wherever I think for medicinal value. When the idea was shared with the Tambaya people they stopped everything they were doing and started hunting for chamelions.The promise and reward was good!! Each farmer bred chamelions.Children,women men did nothing except hunt for chamelions on fences from morning till evening. The D DAY came and this is what happend Kenya: Hundreds At Chameleon Market That Never Was http://allafrica.com/stories/200505020878.html Hundreds of villagers eager to get rich yesterday flocked a rural market in Nyeri armed with chameleons they hoped to sell. Tambaya market in Mukurwe-ini division of Nyeri District was literally transformed into a reptilian market as chameleons of all shapes and sizes were turned up The farmers were so infuriated they went to the main roads and released their cargo of chamelions. Do not do it the Tambaya way! This serikali won't help you get market but will throw the idea at you. Like I see so many people with rabbits but nowhere to sell.
