Interest rate and repayment period?

I've always wondered why I cannot be trusted to repay a loan! Here's the answer.

This is a huge move for both Faulu and Airtel. i hope Faulu finally gets to benefit, M Pesa was piloted at Faulu using Faulu clients and Safcom ditched them when it became successful.

The interest rates at these MFIs are too high. The easier it is to get a loan, the more expensive it is.

this will cause a stampede to airtel, am sure most guys will 'invest' faithfully in airtel for the first six months and 'reap' the returns afterwards. now what i would love to see is the exact time the cash advances will be requested, i can bet 10000 bob, 90% of it will be after midnight, somewhere in tom mboya, kenyatta avenue, westlands etc.

Those interest rates are not interesting.. maximum loan tenure is 10 days. if you annualize the rates for the charges for 10,000 loan (KES 850) it comes to over 300%
