The church has responded to an article that appeared on the DN 11.04.12. Further, it has defended its use of creativity and innovation to advance modern Christianity. Enlighten me wazuans. 1. Should the church use the media to defend its ministry or its way of Christianity should defend it. 2. how far should ''hype'' be incorporated in the church ministry. Lets not be vague, we go to hague

Link please to the story we would like to read. The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts while the stupid ones are full of confidence

That article had a very interesting heading and details. I wondered how true it was as far as representing the views and things done in that church.

On that page they say they,ve been around for 6 years? Quote:We are a community of faith that has experienced the tremendous power of God in the last six years. Ama hizo siku hakukua na "tremendous power of God"?

Most of what was in that article was just the usual sensational reporting by our media. It wasn't based on facts and based on the reactions to the article Mamlaka Chapel has been misjudged. While that church is not as conservative as PCEA , AIC or ACK, it does adhere to the teachings of Christ and is very active on pushing Christians in their individual lives to live for Christ and to transform the World they live in.

Ama hizo siku hakukua na "tremendous power of God"? Mamlaka Chapel has been in existence as Nairobi Chapel since the 1950s. 6 years ago, the initial Nairobi Chapel was divided into 3 assemblies: Mamlaka Chapel on Mamlaka rd where the former Nairobi Chapel was, Nairobi Chapel on Ngong Rd and Mavuno.

On that page they say they,ve been around for 6 years? @ Mtu Biz, they are right, Mamlaka Chapel was born 6 years ago by Nairobi Chapel, the mother church. Mamlaka chapel congregation meets at the church building (on mamlaka road) which it inherited from the mother church. So to be exact i attended Nairobi Chapel for 10 years and Mamlaka chapel for 5 years. Details aside, its basically the same church in both doctrine and Meeting venue

I have been a member of mamlaka hill chapel for 4 yrs now. In truth, am not big on church, but mamlaka is different. Different coz the pastor actually talks bout morals based on the bible, not that jirani yako amekuroga crap, different because they tell you how to ba a good chtristian at jobo, a good student....basically mamlaka chapel teaches bout life, from the bibles perspective. Patience. You cannot have a baby in one month by impregnating nine women....

The mother church(Nairobi chapel)became too large and a decision was made to divide it into 3 congregations: Mamlaka Chapel, Nairobi Chapel, Mavuno.

Interesting run through both article http://www.nation.co.ke/Feature.../1/-/hc642m/-/index.html and response. In my view, Pauline Kairu is a good writer and her article was balanced and insightful. I also agree with Mamlaka's right of response and courageous ministry. Could the lesson be respect and acceptance of those who are different? Be they of modern church, traditional christian, islam, buddhist etc. At the same time, isn't there always room for reflection and improvement for all beliefs? All congregations are imperfect despite God being perfect.
