I stopped talking of index and concentrated on specific counters,uchumi has 100% and scan might do 75% but the index is still sub 3500 "Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning."

The index only moves up if specific counters that make up that index move...so if u anticipate the index to move up...u buy into counters that make up that index,

haha . you think am buyin this rally . forget it . even if it will reach 100000. let it stay !
what about safcom our bellweather stock dead as a log .yes the index has showed signs of bottoming but my fav stocks are too high for me to chase them !

I'm waiting for Scan to go higher before i get out. I must say it hurts to have missed Uchumi. I watched it go past 7.20, but most of what goes around, comes around.

on other important matters . stocks that have lead the race/rally since last year when the rally began are
Uchumi Supermarket
Kenya Commercial Bank
ScanGroup
KenolKobil Co
if you cannot see a common denominator among all the stocks you are blind .
and the above stocks have done crazy volume mind you !

Just go back and see how many times you thrashed buyers. Stop getting worked up,if you get it right, i will compliment you, if you get it wrong, expect something as well. The big players may be factoring in a march 2013 date for election, giving room for confidence to invest as theres time. The interest rates may be lowered in coming months and they know this. The oil find is starting to ferment in investors minds, or some deals are being struck undercover as a result. conclusion: so many times the market doesn't rally when it definitely should, so when it rallies and i dont understand why, i just enjoy the ride. The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself
